The"Pr' tatko" hostel is located in the centre of an alpine village of
Podkoren near Kranjska Gora, occupying an old Gorenjska region
homestead with rooms furnished in an old rustic style. We can offer
our quests a private room for 4 persons (price: 60 eur/room/night) or
dorm rooms for 5 or 8 persons (beds for 14 eur/person/night). Guests
are also welcome to use the shared kitchen, bathroom with a shower, a
balcony for smokers and a washing machine; all rooms also have a
wireless Internet access.
Our hostel is an ideal place for anyone that finds the relaxing
atmosphere, sports activities, natural beauty and peace a better
substitute for the perfect comfort of the latest modern hotels.

About Kranjska Gora
Kranjska Gora is an important tourist town in the upper valley of Sava. Around the old village was built a new town, most of the tourist part with hotels, holiday homes and houses, recreational facilities, shops and ski lifts, and ski programs and a network of bicycle and walking paths. All this gives Kranjska Gora with nearby villages Podkoren, Forest Martuljek and Rateèe image of a nature - tourist area, so important in the annual as well as winter tourism. Kranjska Gora is the scene of a major international ski competitions in alpine skiing at Vitranc and ski-jumping in Planica. And this year also European Downhill race.

Cultural heritage
In the old village center of today's Kranjska Gora lies Church of the Virgin Mary, in the old documents, first mentioned in 1326 as a branch Radovljica church. Poznogotska building has star arched rectangular presbytery.
Among the buildings, there is best preserved 300 year old homestead Lizenjakova (Borovška Road 63) "black kitchen", now placed in ethnographic collection. In the old part of the village was home to the birthplace of the writer, the author of popular stories on Kekcu, J. Vandota plaque (Podbreg 27).
